Our exclusive LILA BEAUTY BAG is made in Augsburg by manomama. This eco-social textile company is unique in Germany. It employs people who are disregarded by the traditional labour market. At manomama they receive appreciation, permanent employment, hourly wages above the minimum wage, and work models that take individual life situations into account.
The Lila Beauty Bag is made of recycled organic cotton. In order to recycle leftovers of GOTS-certified organic cotton (GOTS = Global Organic Textile Standard) in a sensible way, they are re-fibred, processed, and spun again.
This transparent organic cotton recycling cycle by manomama is unlike any other in the world. It was awarded the B.A.U.M. Environmental Prize (Bundesdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewusstes Management e. V.) in 2016.
