JOINT PRO is an intelligent composition of the medicinal plants nettle, rosehip, turmeric, and the veterinary power ingredients chondroitin, glucosamine, collagen hydrolysate, and methylsulfonylmethane. Together, these high-quality ingredients can inhibit inflammation of the musculoskeletal system, alleviate pain, support the formation of cartilage, and strengthen fasciae and bones. JOINT PRO is the predestined food supplement for seniors, athletes, heavy and large-framed dogs, as well as for puppies delivered by the stork with a messed-up skeleton. In short: sooner or later, JOINT PRO is essential for the well-being of every dog.

Collagen hydrolysat

Collagen is a structural protein found in many parts of the human and animal body. It is a natural product that supports the formation of cartilage and thus optimally nourishes the joints and bones.

Cellulose is a natural dietary fibre.

Glucosamine is a natural amino sugar and found in connective tissue, cartilage, and joint fluid. It is said to relieve pain in osteoarthritis and regenerate mobility.

Rose hips are the fruits of the dog rose (rosa canina), also known as wild rose. They provide a lot of vitamin C and special secondary plant substances, the galactolipids. Rosehip powder strengthens the immune system, protects joints from cartilage wear, reduces joint pain in osteoarthritis and can help restore mobility to stiffened joints.

Stinging Nettle

Nettle is traditionally said to have a positive effect on rheumatism and gout. It contains powerful photo active substances that inhibit inflammation and reduce pain.

Methylsulfonylmethane, organic sulphur, has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. It also strengthens cartilage tissue and is therefore mainly used for joint pain and inflammation.

Chondroitin is a part of the extracellular matrix and derived from the tissue of cattle and pigs. As a dietary supplement, it is used to maintain the health and regeneration of cartilage. It is said to help with osteoarthritis.

Turmeric is a superfood that may have anti-inflammatory properties due to the curcumin it contains.

Feeding Recommendation

The feeding recommendation is based on the current weight of the dog:

3g (about one teaspoon) of Gelenk Pro powder per 5kg body weight is fed daily with the food.

MAGEN-DARM NO. 1 combines the effectiveness of ancient medicinal plants with state-of-the-art science. Psyllium husks are a traditional remedy for diarrhoea and constipation. Fennel seeds regulate digestion. In Ayurvedic cuisine, fennel seeds are served after meals. Turmeric is also highly regarded in Ayurveda for its anti-inflammatory effect. Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) are extracted from the cell walls of yeasts. As effective prebiotics, they cover the intestinal wall and thwart attacks by hostile microorganisms. Beta-glucans have an anti-inflammatory effect and can stimulate the immune defence.

Natural food supplements in dog nutrition

Nutritional supplements for dogs are currently on everyone’s lips and almost every dog owner has heard of one or the other supplement or has used it himself for his own four-legged friend. But does the dog really need an additional supplement to the normal food or is this unnecessary chichi?
